My latest artwork is made of toothpicks. The idea came up after stacking paper strips in wooden boxes.
I have about 20 different colours in 300g paper sheets. So the design is restricted to those 20 colours.
For the toothpicks, I decided to paint each with gouache colour. So the spectrum of colour for one pixel (toothpick) is endless.
The more shades I create for a colour, the smoother the design appears when I fill up the box with the toothpicks.
